WE LIVE IN TRENCHES - Modern Hex

Que the sighs and moans; this is a legacy in the making. The desperados of a vile church signalling and embracing the end of all ends. If tomorrow never comes this is the soundtrack to your final hours. When the walls close in and everything implodes, this is your fix of reality.

”Modern Hex” is an attention-seeking atom bomb ready to explode through the plasticity of your life. Through every syllable spits conviction, with every dissonant note thought pierces through, with every beat there's nail hammered down. Filtering the sounds of Union Carbide Productions, Flipper and The Jesus Lizard into a cocktail of ugly anthems; it ain't sheet music but the noise emanating from a palpitating sick heart.

Provoking without pretence, ”Modern Hex” begs for more than the emotional- and attention-span of today's hit-and-run youth. This is not to say that the message won't get through because it will.
This is not levers pulled for pulling levers. It's the cross you welcomingly bear with every breath you take.

We Live In Trenches debuted in 2008 with the Autonomy Clinic 7” (Instigate Records) to much praise and have since established themselves as a brutal force to be reckoned with. Live it's a pummelling experience that leaves you gasping for air but still wanting more. WLIT comprises three gents and a lady but on stage they're joined by a second guitarist which adds to the dissonant wall of sound.

”Modern Hex” was recorded at Artisten in Gothenburg by Oskar Karlsson during January through March 2009.
